Michael Schostak
for Regent

This is an election that many people don’t know much about, but it matters. The Regents help shape nearly every dimension of the University—from academic excellence and affordability to research, campus culture, student life, finances, and Michigan’s long-term direction. This year, two Regent seats are on the ballot and four candidates are running—making this a consequential race.

At a time when universities are navigating increasingly complex challenges, thoughtful leadership, sound judgment, and good stewardship matter more than ever. A great university should foster vigorous debate and free expression and, at the same time, ensure that every student can learn free from harassment, intimidation, and antisemitism. Those commitments are not in conflict, and Michigan should honor both. Join us in supporting a candidate who will fight to make sure the University of Michigan is accessible and affordable and that all students feel safe and secure on campus, regardless of their religious or political beliefs.
